Emily and Andrew’s intimate wedding in the White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire was a dream day! There were so many beautiful pieces to this day that I am *still* obsessed with!
The ceremony space at Rustic Gatherings Lodge is absolutely stunning (and dog friendly!). It’s tucked away in the backyard right next to a river with the mountains peaking right through the trees. The beauty spoke for itself, and therefore didn’t require a ton of extra decor in order to make for the perfect day. Whatever decor these two did have for the day was mostly DIY-ed by the couple!
There are so many ways to be intentional with your wedding day, from the personal touch of the small details, to the designing of your timeline. Emily and Andrew’s day was an excellent example of this is. They kept their guest list under 100, hired a wonderful live musician for all of the music for the day, hired some of their close friends and family as vendors where they could, included a ton of very personal details they scattered throughout the day, and created a timeline focused around spending the most time with their guests they could.
What really stood out for me was they had decided that they wanted to greet all their friends and family as they arrived on the property! This is one of the most unique ways to make sure you get to spend time with each guest without completely “missing” all the activities later on in the evening. In order to make this happen, they had done their first look and family portraits early enough in the day to make sure they were around for guest arrivals.
After the ceremony they were able to truly relax and enjoy themselves knowing that they had already spoken to every one of their guests! They day as a whole was one of my favorites, and a beautiful example of a couple who stayed true to themselves throughout the whole planning process in order to create the most authentic day they could have.
